What Will You Need For The Building Permit Application
Lists steps you need to take to ensure for a building permit approval if you wish to carry out works which are structural or extensions.
- 1. A properly completed Application form
- 2. A copy of certificate of title for allotment
- 3. Evidence of ownership or evidence that a contract has been entered into pursuant to section 9AA of the sale of land act 1962
- 4. Housing Guarantee Fund Registration (form10)
- 5. Three fully dimensioned steps of work drawings. Note; Alterations to an existing building, colours shall be used to differentiate between proposed altered and unaltered parts
- 6. Three copies of an allotment plan to a scale of not less than 1:500
- 7. Three copies of specifications
- 8. Timber frame and bracing design under AS 1684 - 1992
- 9. Three copies of truss computations and layouts
- 10.Three copies of computations foe structural members
- 11.Three copies of full Engineers report of existing conditions for Footing system and structural frame elements supported by Engineers Computations for any second storey addition
- 12.Provide full details of services in the easement. 45 degree angle of response details
- 13.A copy of any approval issued by a relevant Authority for works on the property (i.e. heritage, Vic Code and over easement, etc)
- 14.Final Town Planning
- 15.Smoke alarm location to be indicated on floor plan as per AS 3786 - 1990
- 16.Thermal insulation per the Building Code of Australia on drawings
- 17.Details of any proposed work for protection of property and public
- 18.Fees ($) of: building fee, lodgment fee, crossing deposit, inspection fee, government levy & GST.
